Mental Health: Now's The Time To Talk!

Whilst it is unfortunate, Robin William's tragic suicide and on-going battle with depression has highlighted the struggles those with mental illnesses face in day to day life.

Let us take this moment to remember that talking about Mental Health should not be a taboo. If you suffer from a mental illness of any kind, do not feel ashamed or scared to talk about it. Surround yourselves with close family members and friends, and do not be afraid to seek help.

There are plenty of people out there to help. Whether you visit your Church and seek the guidance of God, or get in touch with one of the many mental health organisations out there (Samaritans, Mind and Sane are great starting points), just remember, you are not alone.

Whatever you suffer from in your day to day life, whether it be depression like the late Robin Williams himself sadly succumbed to today, anxiety issues, or any other mental illness, remember that there are many that can help you find your peace, or at least set you on the right path towards it.

For those of us who are fortunate enough to not suffer like so many others so, let us pray that those suffering find their peace, help and acceptance. Today's the day we should start talking about mental health, and each and every one of us can help to change this!

We offer our sincere condolences to Robin Williams family and friends during this difficult and tragic time.
